Your First Visit

WHAT TO EXPECT

We look forward to welcoming you to our office! Upon arrival at Premier Orthodontics & Dental Specialists, please notify our receptionist.

Our doctors will perform a comprehensive orthodontic examination and discuss all aspects of treatment directly with the patient and their family.

THE PURPOSE OF THE INITIAL EXAMINATION IS TO ANSWER THESE QUESTIONS:

– Is there a problem, and if so, what is it?
– When is the appropriate time to begin treatment?
– What type of treatment is recommended?
– How long will the treatment take?
– What is the cost of the treatment?

WHAT’S NEXT?

If orthodontic treatment is needed after the initial exam, we will schedule an appointment for Diagnostic Records. If time permits, these records can be taken during the initial visit.

WHAT ARE DIAGNOSTIC RECORDS?

– Study models of your teeth.
– Panoramic and cephalogram radiographs and tracings.
– Doctors analyze these diagnostic records to determine the best course of treatment.

WHAT IS THE COST OF THE TREATMENT?

The cost of treatment varies based on the severity of the patient’s condition. During the initial exam, the treatment coordinator will discuss fees and payment options if treatment is required. We offer various payment plans to fit your budget and accept most insurance plans. Our goal is to make orthodontics affordable and help every patient achieve their perfect smile.

WHAT DOES MY INVESTMENT INCLUDE?

Your investment covers:

– Orthodontic records, including x-rays, study models, and a personalized growth study workup to determine treatment objectives.
– Active treatment fees for both early treatment options and comprehensive treatment with braces or Invisalign, including all appliances, office visits, and procedures performed in the office. Appliances are durable and should last through the entire treatment period if the patient follows instructions. Replacement fees apply if appliances need replacement due to loss, breakage, misuse, or failure to avoid foods that cause damage.
– One set of final retainers for comprehensive (Phase II) patients upon completion of treatment. Replacement fees apply for any additional lost or broken retainers.

WHAT DOESN’T MY INVESTMENT INCLUDE?

– Work performed at other dental offices outside our orthodontic practice.
– Additional fees may apply if an accident or injury during treatment results in TMJ complications, additional orthodontics, orthognathic surgery, etc.

ASSIGNMENT OF BENEFITS

We accept assignment of benefits for most insurance plans, significantly reducing the family’s out-of-pocket expenses. If we do not accept your insurance plan’s assignment of benefits, we will file claims so the insured can be reimbursed directly. If there is any change in your policy before the full payment of the insurance benefit, please contact our office immediately to adjust your contract.
